I want to add my thanks to Matt for his excellent talk and presentation, to Ricoh man (sorry, I'm not good at names) and to all you good people at SRS. Nice also to meet members, and to put faces to the avatars!

I was pleasantly surprised by the KP, a lovely neat little camera and very capable too!

'Twas a grand day out and so good to hear Matt talk about his exploits and photography.

I will also thank Chris, Matt, "Ricoh Man" (Lee?) and the staff at SRS for a great afternoon. Special thanks to Chris for adding sugar to my coffee when no-one else took sugar, Matt for his amazing Urbexing stories and photos, "Ricoh Man" for all the technical talk on the KP and all for a great walk.

My silver KP is amazing!

Thank you all at SRS, Matt and Luke for a great morning. Excellent info on the KP and the K1 - especially when comparisons were made to the K3. It was great to get hands on with both cameras, thanks Matt for letting me try you 15-30 on the K1 too - as wide as I need and then some. My upgrade path from K3 could well be KP or K1. After trying both - the K1 felt better in my hands (as familiar as my K3) and looking at the samples shots I took inside the church in dark corners it would suit me well. I'm not sure that I would be interested in using my DA* zooms in crop mode on the K1 so lens upgrades/trade-ins would be required too (anyone have experience using them with the K1?)

I realised that the K1 would realistically mean getting new lenses so effectively a new system so I needed to be sure that I was right to stay with Pentax. With that in mind I handled comparative bodies at The Photography Show but came back to the K1. I think you either stay with APS-C format and get the best body and lenses you can, or accept that to get the most potential from the K1 then new lenses are required, and I must say the results they give are stunning. On your point about dark churches it is amazing how much detail you can pull out in post processing.
