I'm new to this. I've been reading posts on how to set up my camera to shoot directly to my laptop MAC or Windows (I have parallels in my MAC). I have the transfer mode set to PC and have downloaded both Pentax Remote Assistant and Capture One. But when I plug the USB from my K10D to my laptop, the computer will read my images on the card, but won't allow me to take pictures. Am I missing something?

THX.

I had a few problems to begin with using PRA, I eventually traced the problem to conecting the cable into a USB hub, connecting the cable direct to the PC overcame the problem, used it all the time in the studio till I defected

There may also be a custom setting that has to be set but for the life of me I can't remember

BTW......... PRA is far superior in use than Nikon Control Pro.
Cheers
Brian.
LBA is good for you, a Lens a day helps you work, rest and play.

(Sorry, I shouldn't laugh... :wink

How are you getting on with the rest of your new kit? Feel free to start a new thread if you don't want to hijack dalrichey's thread.
