Fantastic light in the first one Stefan. Really impressive too, handheld 0.4s and it still seems very sharp especially near the base of the window. I see why you couldn't increase the dof to include the top though, it must have been very dark in there.
Out of the 2nd and 3rd ones I definitely prefer the composition and scenery in number 2, but the haziness or glare slightly spoil it for me. Number 3 is nice and sharp, but I don't like the tilt and the floating streetlight is quite distracting.

It was quite hard like you said, made 8 shots for every one of them and used the best.
The 3rd photo is only very slightly tilted.
The houses on the left simply stand so tilted. The houses are probably from the 1600 or even earlier so I can't put them straight
The church is from 1285, at least the oldest part, and it has the biggest bell of the Netherlands.
Lived here for almost whole my life and was surprised to see that the light was on on the inside so shot it from the outside.
What do you think of the noise btw, not at bad ISO1600 right?
Every photo are actually two shots stack together to half the noise that way and then put some noise reduction over it.

Stefan, I like these shots, but the first one for me is the best.
The colours and the images came out very enhanced and are very eye catching.
The last one also is very interesting and appealing. That sign on the shop H&M really catches the eye and is that the moon in the sky? Looks fabulous.
By the way I have a very special interest on the first image because I have been asked to prepare a portfolio of images for a church that has stunning windows like that one you took

Amin, it's just the street light hanging over the street so no moon.
They recently replace one of the windows with new work and that's quite modern, will make a photo of that one next time and also be more prepared since I just shot them now.
Gareth, I did duotoning so no sepia or something like that on the end, was hoping that it will work with these photos.
You should get the recent Silvershotz, they explain quite a lot about toning B&W photos.

Stefan, that first image is a stunner! The second one on closer inspection shows that you didn't use a tripod (you should, really), but both b&w shots are good. I do prefer the second b&w over the first for composition but like the colour of the first one better.
If you do #2 and 3 again with a tripod you could use a smaller aperture and the lamps would most probably look much nicer.
Looking a bit closer at the big versions one can see that some noise reduction has been applied but I think you struck a very good balance and retained the details well.

just looked up 'stacking' in Photoshop and did this test:
very effective way of reducing noise if you can use a tripod and take multiple identical shots.
100 percent crops:
1600 iso unstacked (400kb)
6 shots stacked and opacity of layers set to: 100, 50, 33, 25, 12, 6 (top layer) (300kb )
Ignore the softness - I probably didn't crop on the focus point.

Wanted to try some post processing experiments regarding high ISO and toning so would like to have some comments about that, of course other comments and advice are also welcome.
Will provide full version for those who want to thinker a bit themselves to show how they think is the best.
