Ten ICMs - Trees

Hi all... have been experimenting with ICM a fair bit over the past year. I tend to like how it can get to the essence of a thing, the feeling of a thing, as opposed to just the thing itself...

Have tried it on most things: landscapes, buildings, flowers, humans, animals, waterfalls etc... It can be pretty hit and miss: sometimes you get something interesting, quite a lot of the time you don't...

However, I do like trees... so here are some of those...

I like 2, 5 and 6 the most.

Wonderful stuff Bill - they are all great with nos 1,4, 10 for me with no4 taking the crown - its just different somehow

Really like those...something i've said i'll try in the past when they've come up on the gallery and then forget...until the next time!

A really good strong set, I particularly like Nos. 1, 7, 9, & 10. The only ones that I'm not so keen on are Nos. 2 & 5 - I'm not sure quite why, but they just don't work as well for me. However, I only wish my attempts were as good!

Very good, The only thing I don't really like with these kind of shots (tried a few myself but not up to your standards) is the patterns made by the bright bits of sky that are always difficult to avoid in the woods. For that reason I'm less keen on the likes of 8. I really like 2,4 and 10.

Bill, they are excellent, no 5 for me is a standout love the comp and complementary colours. Have you thought about an ICM exhibition.

Brilliant set

I am looking at these as abstract images and I like 1, 3, 4 and particularly the colours in 5. I am less keen on the ones that look like someone has ruined the picture by accident.

But then I'm completely new to this - I had to resort to the interweb to find out what it was! For those like me who don't know what ICM means, Google tells me it stands for Intentional Camera Movement.

Good work and technique. These images really would look at their best at sixty inches plus. Just the type of image to enhance a wall.

I must be missing something, to me they are all out of focus, therefore a load of rubbish. I'm not saying the originals are rubbish, but this software has ruined what looks like what were good originals. No offence meant.

Maybe a re-think on wording may just enlighten members on your actual thoughts/feelings then.
