teleconverter question

hi hope someone can advise. I got a cheapo TC off ebay a while back which is manual focus but enough of a cheap test for me to decide I do want to get one which can do aurofocus. I would be after 2x and see that there is a Sigma one on SRS for £99 which seems pretty good. I wonder if anyone can advise on what else there is second hand to look out for? Some on ebay say auto but is that autofocus or auto aperture? For example this: I don't have DA* lenses by the way. Any recommendations greatly appreciated.

I don't agree that it tells us nothing. The image would be worse still if the lens (converter) was worse.

Of course it's not a proper test, but I think it does hint that the converter could be capable of very good results on a tripod if I can get results that good handheld. There is a decent amount of resolution there, I think. Note that the second image is a 100% crop.

I may attempt a better test one day.
