Taken at 7.15 a.m. today. Tangmere replaced Oliver Cromwell on The Anniversary Fenman from Liverpool Street to Norwich and Kings Lynn. Seen here at speed at my local station, Forest Gate. The first time I have seen this loco in action.

K5II with FA43mm

edit: plainly something I am doing, or not doing, is softening the image considerably compared to the original. I'll have another go...

I have applied an excessive amount of sharpening to this version...I don't know why this is needed...the original full size image needed no additional sharpening at all

The second version is certainly sharper than the first, but it does look a little 'harsh' which suggests over sharpening. I'm perplexed why the version reduced for submitting to PUF should be less sharp than the original which you say was fine.
Tangmere is a fine loco which I have never seen this far north but I did get pictures of it at Bath a couple of years ago.

It's not your ISP compressing the image when viewed on the forum is it?

Does the first one you submitted look sharp when loaded from your hard disc?

My ISP compresses all images, when I move the mouse pointer over them I get a prompt 'Shift + R improves this image', when I do this on your first, it improves significantly. Hard to see what's not sharp then (but then I've never used an FA43).

John.
