Can only suggest that you carefully compare the two mounts and see what the difference is. If you can't see a difference, post a photo of each of them from different angles and we'll see if we can spot one.
Might be something along the lines of this thread, something might just need a tweak.

Thanks Daniel - will have a look over the weekend.
The seller (on Ebay) has been very good actually and is happy to give a full refund. But I want to see if there's something obvious and minor that I can check visually first, before having to track down another one.
Cheers,
Jon

Jon I received a tempramental PKA adpater a few months ago where the intermittent problems turned out to be caused by the silver part of the adapter coming away from the black part (I could see it flexing if I applied some pressure with my fingernail). It was easy to fix, just tighten the three small screws holding the silver part in place (unless you have an angled screw driver you'll have to partly dismantle the thing to access those screws). Might be worth checking out on your one.

Radlett,
Herts
I have two of these adapters, and the lens works fine with my other one, so I'm assuming this is an issue with the adapter and not with the lens.
Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, any hints on how to get it sorted? Thought I'd ask before deciding whether to return to the seller.
Cheers,
Jon
