The price of a new one is very reasonable and well worth it. I don't know anyone who has one who would want to part with it. We're happy with ours.

Not parting with mine either, Sorry

If you are on a tight budget why not try something like this Kiron macro lens, from what i have read and heard they are of the highest quality

Want to take a bet that the Kiron will end up more expensive than a new Tamron 90mm?
My Vivitar 100mm F2/8 is made by Kiron and is the forerunner to the 105mm. If it wasnt for the weight of the thing against the Tamron I would use it all the time.
The best series 1 Vivitars and leicester Dine macros were all made by Kiron.

I use my Vivi Series 1 105mm all the time, even though it is too heavy for some circumstances. I'd rather leave another lens at home than compromise on the quality. That said, the Cosina 100mm is smaller, lighter and decent for 1:2 images. They are not as sharp as the Series 1 but have a nice quality that suits flowers etc.
Listen to my albums free on BandCamp. Or visit my main website for links to photography, etc.
