Somehow I don't think my girls will be keen to use my 90 for any weddings. In fact I don't think they'd trust me to drive at all.

I clicked onto page 2 of this thread and discovered that I had stumbled into a Land Rover forum by mistake
To continue off theme, it is a pity about Land Rover's ownership history.
I am not sure what the future holds for Land Rover and Jaguar.

It's a pity Land Rover never managed to make a gear box that worked.
For the little it's worth I think that LR will survive any owners as it is one of those brands that are instantly recognisable world wide. There's LR and Jeep, the Land Cruiser may be the better vehicle but I don't know anyone who can recognise the vehicle by sound alone
Anyway I should worry if they go. I have my Disco and my 90 which I can hope will last another 10 years (the Disco is 12 years old the 90 is 20+ years old) and both will run on cooking oil. Parts are plentiful and sometimes cheap. Having said that they will now do what LR do best - have niggling faults!
Jaguar would surely have more to worry about as they are generally more expensive and complex vehicles with a much smaller niche market.
