I have a K200. I am able to use my Pentax-F 100-300 bought for a previous camera. However other lenses which use the same fitting and have been used on Pentax SLR will not allow the shutter to be activated to take a shot.
Is there a way round this by taking photos manually. My lenses are HOYA SMC ZOOM & MACRO 75-260MM, KIMUNOR AUTO MC 1:28, and MAKINON MC 1:8 F500mm REFLEX.

Do the "other" lenses have an aperture ring ?

Not sure about the others, but the MAKINON MC 1:8 F500mm REFLEX probably doesn't have an aperture ring indeed, mirror lenses having a fixed aperture.

You will need to set your custom settings to allow the use of an aperture ring. The mirror lens will expose perfectly in Av mode then.

If the other two lack an A position on the aperture, the same setting will be required for the other two, but they will require M mode with stop down metering for the exposure (by pressing the green button or the AE-L button, not sure on the K200D).

But if they have an A-position on the aperture ring, perhaps the problem is just that the ring is not set to it?
