Having said that, does anyone know what this lens is like? I assume it can be used on 35mm film cameras which is why I am potentially interested.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

Have been looking at one of these for my z1-p.
My question is, are there front/back focus issues with film cameras ?
This would put me off buying third party lenses
Thanks

Probably, but we never noticed because of the delay between shooting and seeing the results. It would go down as user error.

Thanks john, can I presume from your comments, that it is a "safer bet" to stick with Pentax lenses?

I think it's very safe to assume that in general I gave up on independent manufacturers a long time ago!
There are exceptions though.
