I was given permission to photograph Subramanyam Parameswaran a Tamil, who is currently 17 days into his hunger strike, (started 7/4/09). He has lost his entire family in the genocide perpetrated by the Sri Lankan government armed forces against the Tamils.

This is as close as I was allowed...
