A "watery image" published

I've just been fortunate to have one of my Snowdonia reflection shots published in this months (Iss 82) "Digital Photographer" magazine..here's the shot

I know what you mean about the conditions, your comment isn't the 1st one I've heard like it either ....it's the problem with digital sometimes, people think it's not "as shot", even fellow photographers...

this was one of those very rare times when it actually was that still, I was also lucky to catch another series of shots the following week in similar conditions, it was back in October 2007 and I've not managed to catch it like this since though !!

I do enjoy your pictures, Simon.

And especially the fact that they are, in a sense, variations on a theme. You are fortunate in having subject matter that can never pall, and it is a great pleasure to see these "blue remembered hills" in all their different guises.

Simon,I was having a joke. Your images are too good to have been done in PS. Conditions in Snowdonia are certainly challenging. I was in Bangor a few weeks ago and decided to come home through Snowdonia to get some shots. Guess what?, Bangor; lovely sunshine, Ogwen valley; force 10 with cloud to the valley floor!

No problem, I had a sense of humour bypass for a minute or two... I have honestly been asked quite a few times about this shot and other similiar ones I have as to whether they were "real".. guess it's something we have to live with in the digital age.

The weather definitely can be a bit bizzare...quite a few of my Anglesey photos were taken on days I intended to get some shots around Snowdonia but the mist/cloud/rain stopped me from doing so... 10 miles onto Anglesey and blue sky was everywhere !!

Problem is the poor old sheep dog goes nuts trying to find them.
