Switching back covers mz-7 > mz-50

I've just treated myself to an MZ-7, and I am about to sell my trusty MZ-50. The 50 is the 'date back' model, the 7 is not.
Can anyone advise what is involved in switching the back covers (assuming they are interchangeable).

On most cameras you simply open the back, push down on the little spring-loaded pin which forms the top hinge of the back, and Bob's your uncle.

Hi,
The MZ 3/5/7/10 are supposed to use the Databack Fg whereas the MZ50 is supposed to use the Databack Fi. I don't know what the difference is but I would check carefully that the Fi is compatible with the MZ7 before you sell the MZ50. Details at http://www.bdimitrov.de/kmp/backs/index.html

Regards
Kim
