I'd willingly post some images taken with the Tamron 18-250mm Di II, but it would appear that I can't do so directly in PentaxUser, as with Pentaxforums. Can anyone explain how I can do so in layman's language ?

Best regards

You need to hotlink to the images. First you upload your images to a location on the web. This could be on your own website or on a webhosting service such as pBase or Photobucket.

You copy the URL of your image and then use the Img tag (see the tags just above the text box in the Post a Reply screen) paste the URL and then close with the Img* tag.

The image should then be displayed in the forum.

1. Sign up for an online gallery - Phototbucket, Flickr, Ephotozine for instance

2. Upload your pictures

3. Identify the precise URL to your picture from the gallery site (they each do this in slightly different ways, but they all make it fairly obvious).

4. Paste the URL in between [IMG] and [/IMG] tags in your post. The forum software will then look up the picture from the site, and display them here. You can check it's worked with the preview button.

Or, of course, as some do, you could always upload them to PentaxForums.com and then post a link here. It's been done, but I'm not sure if it's an "approved" technique.

It would be nice if you could post crops of the pictures that show any particular features, like CA or distortion, so that they're obvious even at web resolutions.

Looking forward to them!

Thank you John & Chris for your joint assistance.....you two ought to consider writing user manuals for Pentax, because your instructions are clear, concise and to-the point ! Anyhow, here goes.......

Try this slightly cropped (but otherwise unmolested) 10MP jpeg image for size....K10D & Tamron 18-250mm Di II: f/l 26.9mm - f 8.0 - 1/250 - ISO 100 in Green Mode.
Yeah, I know, I'm a coward. I admit it, but it was the first time I'd used the camera and I needed to find out how the K10D would function when left to it's own devices !
You should have heard what the insurance agent said when I told him which vehicle I was thinking about purchasing......a 'what' sir ?.....and it does 0 - 60 in under 4 seconds ?? How much did you say it's worth ??......short pause......J***s f*****g C****t !!!

Best regards

And here's a 100% crop, jpeg 'optimised' by 30% in Paint Shop Pro (but otherwise unprocessed), in order to reduce the file size !
