Swans

Due to a combination of things (rush of blood to the credit cards, them $*&%£s at SRS dropping the price and so on) I now have a K-S1 body to go with my K20D. SO, as it had finally stopped raining, I stuck the 50-200mm on the front and went to take some swan pictures.

Swans, being a symbol of the River Thames, are everywhere in Staines.

There are, apparently, some feathery ones about too. But they were in hiding today.

Anyway, I like the S1. It's technically only an entry level machine, but is still more up to dat than my K20. It's also a nicer weight and the handling is a lot better than people make out. But then, I have small hands.

I prefer 'unconventional'.
But I'm willing to compromise and accept 'eccentric'.

Nice shots. Think you are going to get quite a bit of pleasure out of that KS-1. That pub looks pretty pleasurable too!

Thanks.

I really like it so far. It looks a bit odd, but handles well. Only a couple of problems - it's not weatherproofed and it takes ages to transfer files to the PC - 20MP means big files!

I like those - good theme with a nice twist!
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass
