Not been on the forum for a while been busy with other things but I came across this program a couple of days ago and I liked it so much I bought it, just run the basic program and see the difference, I'm not a promoter for the program I was just so impressed with it.

You can download the free version here link
You will be so surprised the amount of junk in your system and your speed will double, just give it a try and tell me what you think, it is just superb, make sure you turn on the turbo button.

Jack.

Jack I don't like it if a program goes through my register to make it faster, I don't think any program is sophisticated enough to determine if a change would not destabilize mine system or not.
Also why would a company like Windows with thousands of people not have enough to spare to do the same trick?
Stefan

Well Stefan I am not going to go into the why's and why not's but I have worked in the computer industry since 1969, I would not recommend a program if it didn't work so if you don't want to try it fair enough but it is your loss.

Speed is everything in computers especially with graphics and I was just trying to help out fellow Pentax users, it seems I have just wasted my time,

Jack.

This is the company that said "this internet thing won't catch on" (1995) and, worse, released Windows Me. Attempts to analyse the logical basis of their decisions are doomed to fail

you made a point but I hope they know how to build a OS but I question that sometimes...

I really don't question your intentions Jack, I'm just questioning al those register cleaners, I've never been lucky with one and that's why I don't use them.
This one could be different though.

Thanks for that MrCynical, I worked for IBM Greenock from 1969-1982 just when the first PC was released hope to get my pension soon and built over 300 computers for the expats in the Costa Del Sol, Microsoft are good at some things but not everything and many other companies have found their weaknesses.

No Stefan - absolutely not.

If you work from a principle of nothing is free, you will not go far wrong.

Most things you download will be after something.

Must admit I am not keen on this sort of program. Never found one yet that will do what is says on the tin. I think these sort of vendors prey on the ill informed and gullible users and panic them into buying software as a cure for all their perceived ills...

If you don't try it you will never know.

It has been my experience that if over time your pc slows down a day spent to format the HDD and reload the basic software ie OS and standard office applications etc has it up and running like a dream. Just need to lay off downloading things to try, thus leaving odd bits of files lurking and slowing things down once the trial software comes to an end and the program is "Deleted?"

I've been using IOBit's Advanced System Care software for well over a year Jack, and I agree it's an exceptionally good piece of software, even the freebie version.

I also use their Smart Defrag product, again, it works for me, and better than the application supplied with the OS.

Well I have to say thank you Jack.

My PC had started to run a little slow, I was convinced I had some spyware and other problems and was gearing myself up to do a full format and reinstal of the OS, so I felt I had nothing to loose by trying this software.

My PC is now running a lot faster than it did and I wont embarass myself by saying how many problems it found

The whole process from downloading and intaling the program to running it and cleaning up the PC took less than five minutes.
