Which cheap flash maker used the Bowen mount btw?
Someone suggested that one to me some while back but I forget the name
Since they used the same mount you can get a lot of gear for it and the price was good as well.
Do you mean this one Stefan?Which cheap flash maker used the Bowen mount btw?

Gimme a couple of weeks, I plan on buying one of the kits; I'll do a review once I've played with it

John, that would be great but I just can't get them here in the shops. I can of course let them shipped to here but then I'm better of buying Elinchrom D-lite4 set
Still interested to know what you find.

Here is the shot.
Was taken at a photo course and we used constant lighting here with, so they didn't had the output of the flash-units and we applied the light subtle.
Most of them were indeed shooting at f/4 but I thought I could do it at f/2.8 with careful manual focus and as you see it can be done. The others all had blurred photos because the shutter-speeds became too long.
With flash thought you will be around f/4 most of the time since that gives enough DOF and probably your flash limits you that since with lower f-numbers you overexpose. f/8 can of course also be used, it's just what you need. f/4 gives you 25cm and f/8 double that depending on the work distance and focal length.
ps. the DOF with the photo was around 10cm, used 100mm lens at f/2.8 and the distance was around the 3 meters.
