That explains it!!!! A local Pentax dealer had a white K-m on one of those rubber sucker pods in his window, advertising the pod for over a year and I thought it strange that he risked it falling with such a valuable camera on it and why tie the money up for a demo of a cheap support. It must have been a worthless dummy!!!

Would be handy to wave around in front of security guards jobsworths etc.

Yes it does, looking at the images, it might be a real lens, or a cheap mock up but given te price of a DAL 18-55 it is probably not cost effective to build dummies though.
