All taken with the K-5 and the K 30mm 2.8

Its a struggle at times to get the focus bang on with manual focusing but this lens is delivering beautiful tones that makes it worthwhile. Im going to persevere and see how I go.

All thoughts welcome

You choose interesting people for your portraits. Well done. And I'll join the question of the previous user: did the people react ok?

Some good ones there, the last one is the best.

Ty
It's a mixed bag of reactions. Most people are flattered and ok with it

I hope one day I'll start to be able to ask strangers to pose as well. I liked also the fact that you didn't surrender to the classic black and white. Do you give posing directions?

Thanks for the comments guys

Do I pose them?

The first thing I try to do is find a suitable backdrop - some people refuse to move, some dont have time and then some will let you walk with them until I find somewhere suitable
I dont pose them in a vogue way I just ask them to move their heads in certains ways... its hard to explain until you try it!

I get it, it's just that I find it incredibly fascinating. I bet they ask you if they can have the photos later. Do you go around with business cards or something like that?

Top set as per... particularly like 1, 8 and 11... but they're all very specific, very individual... the eyes of 11 are quite something...

There were enough shootings in Belfast.
