This is todays post from one of my favourite online resources, just about all of it resonated with me 50 things to avoid in street photography

I think, to parody Kipling, it could have began "If you can..." and ended "You'll be a street tog, my son"

That's quite a good set of rules.
I agree with all but one:

48. Shooting in bad light without a flash.

That's a no-no in my book.

I just wish Pentax had a 23 or 24mm DA lens (35mm FOV equiv. in FF)…and that I would abide by rules nos. 9 and 13.

If you mean a 23/24mm equivalent lens, there's the DA14mm and the DA15 ltd. (Excellent street lens!) If you mean an actual 23-24mm lens, the DA21mm ltd is pretty close and another great street lens.

I like his use of flash though... gritty!

I meant 35mm in FF.
The closest in the DA line is the 21mm LTD which I own but I find it a bit too wide for my taste.
It wouldn't hurt if it were f2.4 either, as it would allow for a brighter viewfinder image.

P.S: the FA31 has a FOV of 70º while the FA35's is a little narrower at 63°.

I do know what you mean, Richard - I find my Sigma Superwide 24mm a perfect for street whereas the 21mm felt a bit wide (without being emphatically, proudly wide like the DA15mm!)

There's an FA*24 waving its arms around in the For Sale section - my favourite "street lens" - just in case anyone's tempted

Not mine, and no connection with the sale by the way
