Strange Text Files --- Is This an Instance of Malware?

The thing to do in instances like this is to make a report to IT. The report button is at the bottom of every page on the site.

I was encountering it with some other websites, too, so it isn't a specific Pentaxuser issue. As far as I could tell from the filename in the Firefox 'What do you want to do with this file?' request, the files seem to be something to do with Google ads. Perhaps something was going wrong at their end?

Have tou tried looking for Malware?
Perhaps Malwarebytes, and/or ADWCleaner might be worth a try or something similar.
Perhaps even a rogue Firefox addon? Try FF in safe mode to test for that.
If it happens again can you get a screen grab?

Not at the time, but I didn't download the file when asked. It happened for a short while on 2 computers, one W8.1 the other W10, then stopped. All working OK since then, routine scans have been run (including ADWCleaner) and no sign of malware.
