Quick question - do the lenses have a built in serial number like the camera does? It is going to be hard for me to identify otherwise.

The serial numbers will be on the lenses and also on the card that comes in the box. Not sure exactly what you mean.

When you load a picture into some exif readers (Photome) it tells you the serial number of the camera that took the picture.

Unfortunately it's not the same for lenses.

Yes, but I'm not sure how that helps with identification and under what circumstances. Needles and haystacks....I think an insurance claim is the way forward as reclaiming the goods seems a thin possibility.

Apart from anything else, would you want the kit back after any number of people might have been messing with it?
Best regards, John

I had my one month old K5ii stolen on Saturday. It is in a black camera bag with a Pentax 50-135mm f2.8, a Tamron 17-50mm f2.8, Tamron 10-24mm, Pentax 50mm f1.4 and various other bits and bats.

Stolen from Dewsbury, West Yorkshire.

If anyone sees anything suspicious I would be grateful for any info.
