Any hot tips for inexpensive ways to have even more fun with a K10D?
I am being pestered for Christmas list by my nearest and dearest. Could be worse I guess.
I am thinking...
remote control (or soldering iron and a bit of wire)
flash (no idea which one)
gorilla pod (big one)
Sensor cleaner (far too boring)
ruck sack (Tamrac adventure 9?)
alll seems a bit dull...
Maybe a trip to Patagonia for a month with motorbike hire thrown in....

if you haven't got a macro lens, but have got a short prime (50mm works well, as does 2, you can't go wrong with a reversing ring.

Either filter thread to K mount to put that lens backwards straight on your camera, or filter thread to filter thread so you can put it on the front of a telephoto for even more silly levels of magnification.

There's a thread around somewhere where a bunch of us competed to demonstrate just how silly the magnification can get. Blew up the letters IRB from below the queens head on a Penny to fill the frame.
you don't have to be mad to post here

but it does help

Still tempted to go back and try again every so often...

Maybe a bit borring but spare SD cards are usefull. Better still, how about the offer of a modeling session with the nearest and dearest. That could be a lot of fun.

now your talking Kim.
I'm going to have to go with your 2nd suggestion (wish me luck) because I couldn't wait 'til Christmas and I bought the 50mm myself along with a set of extension tubes.
When I find a very patient insect I'll have a play, but in the mean-time here's a penny (not a patch on Dan's but I'm learning)
