Hi.

What do you use to stitch multiple photos together?
What's the easiest program to use without having to eyeball?

Serif produce a cheap 'n easy to use application called Panorama Plus 2. Have a look at it here.

If you have Adobe's Photoshop CS or CS2 you can use the File > Automate > Photomerge facility.

I've got the full version, Photoshop 7.0. Is the process different?

Sorry, I can't answer that one as I don't have your version to try. If version 7 has the Photomerge function then it should be very similar, if not the same.

Hi

A very good panorama software which is a free download is Autostitch

http://www.cs.ubc.ca/~mbrown/autostitch/autostitch.html

This demo version will only stitch to a Jpeg and at 10% by default, but if you go into Edit>Options you can select 100%. The user interface is a bit basic but it's brilliant at what it does. Beats the pants off Canon's software which is also pretty good.

I believe they are in 'talks' with Adobe at the moment for possible inclusion into CS3 - no more free downloads then!

Hello Michael

I've had great success with cPicture. You can get it for free from http://cpicture.net/en/

I've got a short tutorial on it at my hobby site. www.britanniacreek.net

I needed to create a backdrop photo and this program handles the printing very well, especially colour at the join.

Hi all.

Thanks for the responses. I believe I've found what I'm looking for , unlike U2.

And oddly enough it's from just down the road at the UBC campus.

By the way Barry, I'm quite impressed with the level of detail in your model.

Hate to say this but the stitching software I find gives most success is Canons Photostitch. I have a Canon compact (shame on me).
The one I have least success with is Photoshop Elements 2.
Don't know why but time and time again it can't align pictures, when the Photostitch does it straight away.
