Stained glass.

These are superb! The way you've caught the light of the inside of the church as well as the colour of the stained glass. One of the best I've seen in a long time. Well done.

Funny, if I put a photograph of stained glass windows, nobody comments. Why?

As an observer, fairly new member, and feeling for your comments, and probably got the wrong handle on this, and shouldn't involve myself, and had a few beers etc, perhaps your being humorous, can you provide a link to your pics you refer to please?

The simple answer is that nobody found anything sensible that they felt motivated to say. Perhaps everybody enjoyed the image and felt it spoke for itself without unecessary comments?

I feel for your disgruntlement walkeja but
Zero feedback or comments about ones own photos (my own not so good efforts for instance) never bothered me personally.
Although you make a valid point , regarding this site and some of its members.

I only recently was first to comment on a set of photographs which I enjoyed, by someone on a walk.
While that person thanked everyone else for they're comments that followed, my comments were ignored without a response.
Blind perhaps but I would beg to differ.

They're are also other members on this site who display they're images and never comment or respond to anyone but love themselves that much, tooo much

However having said all of the above, I still like this site, especially the Gallery, plenty of decent skins that outnumber.

I obviously can't speak for anyone else, but a hard fact of life for me is that there is often not enough time to make intelligent comment on photos. And when there is time, my brain is often too fried to make worthwhile comment. And if my brain isn't too fried, time has gone by and others have made the comments I would make so no need to say anything more. By and large, I now tend to comment on photos only if I've returned to the thread 2 or 3 times and have then thought about why. That was the case with these stained glass windows. I did look at the River Colne, Wivenhoe, thread, thought 'nice', then moved on.

FWIW, some of my photos have received no comment, others have received a lot more than I expected. I'm just grateful when someone makes a constructive comment that makes me think. It's all a bit random and lack of comments is definitely not a comment on either the photos or the photographer. It's also worth noting that Pentax User is a lot more than the forum - some people who contribute to the gallery and competitions don't seem to post much (if at all) on the forum and vice versa.

If I recall corerectly, very few members ask for a critique, but they all seem to get comments!

Thanks to those who commented on my stained glass. HDR and blending are wonderful tools although the chapter house ceiling was just two images and selective masking.
