We went there once. We wanted a lid for a teapot and drove down to find the factory.
Sadly, the week we chose to go was....yes, the Potters' Holidays.
Seriously though we did have lots of family around Biddulph, Knypersley and Stoke-on-Trent, but sadly they have all slowly died off.
Not as far as Stafford though. Is there still a quite decent camera shop in Stafford?

Hi John,
Yeh Peter Jones is still here in Stafford. I had my K10D off them. I don't know wether he was just trying to get rid of it but he changed my mind from buying a Nikon D80. Still not sure if it was the right choice though.

Hi Matt,
Not exactly in staffordshire but close to it- solihull. I do visit frequently during summertime with kids. Great spots around canals for photography.
Best wishes.

You did make the right one, I had a D80 images were fine but it was like texting to get into the menu’s, I used to get very annoyed with the damn thing, the top LCD panel when lit was a mucky grey, Pentax is very clear with the green led, many other small things are far better on the Pentax K10/K20 even a friend who teaches photography (Pro, weddings etc) said if he had not got so much invested in his kit lenses etc he would change to the K20.Hi John,

He used my K20 while one of his new Nikons had to go back for repair, he was very impressed.
So the grass is not greener on the other side

I moved to South Staffordshire (Brewood) through choice! Stafford is just a few miles up the road. Is it Peter Jones or Peter Rodgers in Stafford? I've never quite got around to going for I look. Perhaps I should.
