SRS site blocked

I use bullguard there should be a link on the block message that if you are sure that all is okay then they will look at the site and adjust the bullguard accordingly, I found that they acted very quickly last time I went through the process, was only a click or 2 so very easy. I don't use windoze anymore so cannot confirm for the last 6 month or so but I assume still would be there.

Update: 11:14

Tried again using my normal routine and same result...no access. However I then tried using a more recent edition of my browser (Opera) and it allows access, so I can only assume that there must be some sort of internal admin 'cut-off' point beyond which the old browser version must have been given its marching orders.

After reading Chris' suggestion about prefixing with https://, I tried this using my older browser version and it works...so as long as I have a 'workround' then it's fine with me.

I do find Bullguard to be quite aggressive sometimes in its protection, however that's the way I like it having experienced multiple attacks in the past.

Thanks for your suggestion Chris and hope its not taken up too much of your time.

I use Bullguard and just tried to get SRS through the Ad and got blocked. So there is still a problem of some sort. CHEERS Vic.

Until a few moments ago my access to SRS was still being blocked by Bullguard. I entered Bullguard's own site to report wrongful blocks, filled in a report form and said SRS was a highly regarded and legitimate business and its blockage was damaging to the business and annoying thousands of customers. Within seconds I was redirected by Bullguard to SRS without any further discussion.

I wonder what triggered Bullguard to instigate that block on them.

Thanks for that info David. I've just accessed their site through their usual PU ad without any apparent problem. As John asks though...wonder what it was that prompted them to take action in the first place?

I would think SRS were owed an explanation out of courtesy.

We had a server update and when the site is accessed via http://www.srsmicrosystems.co.uk it should instantly switch to https://www.srsmicrosystems.co.uk. This wasn't happening and was probably what was being picked up by Bullguard.

All seems fine now, thankfully!

I just tried it again for the hell of it and it is still blocked. As you say Chris "NO "s" for secure in the address"

Works fine for me and simple address goes straight to secure address as stated. I use Chrome for Windows plus McAfee 'Plusnet Protect' suite which is free as part of my internet account.

As far as i can see the problem with the Ad redirect is with an incomplete https with elements that have not been secured. While this is not all that uncommon as some web elements are not worth encrypting/securing. Some security software will label it as suspicious even if there is no risk. A false positive if wish to call it something.

Look at your secure pad lock icon and see if it has a yellow or red exclamation mark beside it.
