SRS Open Day - Saturday 3rd November

Hi Everyone,

I am pleased to announce that we are having an Open Day on the 3rd of November.

We will have all of the latest equipment to play with, including the K5 II, K5 IIs, Q10 and a 560mm which is being supplied by Pentax Japan especially for the day.

Mark from Pentax will be in attendance to answer your queries..

There will be the usual Open Day goodies, food and special offers!!

Hope to see as many of you as possible!

Hmmm, If I paint the Sigma 50-500mm I recently bought from you white and did a quick swap do you think the man from Pentax would notice?

Why go to all that bother, Mike??.. Did you learn nothing from watching Val Singleton knocking all sorts of things up with sticky-back plastic, washing-up liquid bottles, and inner cardboard tubes from a toilet roll??

I'm rather glad I can't make this open day either. I suspect the 560mm would need rather a lot of cleaning after I'd extracted it from where I'm sure my wife would shove it.

Peter - I though it was NIKON that made colonoscopy equipment, not Pentax??!!

I really do want to check out the DA560, bout time I got some goodies....

I am waiting to hear back from Pentax, but we should at least have the K-5 II, K-5 IIs and the Q10....

Would love to be there but busy photographing Goths in Whitby that day!

Could you post the gear for us to try out for the day?

Don't know why Pentax are taking so long...these were "Expected Early October"...
At the end of the month, Chris is calling Pentax to check availability, no one has any stock to try out, and Amazon is showing "Usually dispatched within 1 to 2 months"

Clearly, Pentax don't seem to be in any rush for the camera to reach the shops or in the hands of potential customers...

Anyway, hope Chris is back with some info, and that the cameras hit the shelves soon!

Looks like the stock is coming in..."Only 1 left in stock (more on the way)"...so hopefully we will have a few bodies etc to try out (& possibly buy!) on the open day!

We will have stock of the K-5 II to purchase on Saturday. I may have a couple of K-5 IIs , but these are in extremely short supply.


I wish! But, unlike Amazon, I can't afford to sell product well below cost price!

I can confirm that the 560mm will be with us and we will have two representatives from Pentax, Mark and Ben. The lens will be leaving us at 4pm as it needs to be in Spain on Monday.
