SRS Open Day - 10th April 2010 + Other info...

Hi all,

We are having a Pentax Open Day on Saturday 10th April. We will have the full range of products on display to play with and will be providing plenty of freebies, food and promotions on the day. Steve and Lindsey will be here from Pentax to answer questions and give demonstrations.

This event is the first in our new premises - I am hopeful that we will be able to launch our Pentax lens and camera rental at the same time. I am just trying to sort out the insurance side of things and then we are ready to go with this. We also are aiming to get our training facility up and running within a couple of months. As soon as I have any more information I will post.

We are also now able to take Paypal payments via our website. This gives payment options for both customers in the UK and Europe. We will be able to process orders from any EU country automatically via our website, which should make ordering from Europe a whole lot easier.

Shame, it`s the weekend I chose to return my duff W80 to the shop in York. I would like to have come along, hope all goes well for you and your team Chris. (feelings of guilt `cos I bought the W80 on a whim while in York). I have learnt! everything i have had from you has been promptly delivered and fairly priced.

The margin we make on K-7 is tiny so I cannot offer any discount apart from the free postage offer. Please mention when ordering via the web or over the telephone that you are a forum member and let us know your ID or membership number so we can knock-off the postage cost.

I also have had a full dummy set of the K-x Limited Edition cameras delivered - the pink is very bright...

I shop from SRS by phone - system works well - but it's not like seeing the goods in the flesh

I'm glad I am too far away.

I was going to say I don't want any more lenses but have decided that it should probably read can't afford any more lenses.

I'd be there if I wasn't working that day.

Hope it goes well, will have to come over and see the new shop soon. Actually, going to Hemel Hempstead tomorrow, wonder if the wife would mind a short detour...
