If not actually sprung is on its way, at least in the south of the UK...

Just a snapshot.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

Chris,

How odd. This was posted in the "general chat" section as it was supposed to be a post about the arrival of spring and not a request for critique of my snapshot of snowdrops.

As a long term contributor to this forum I take umbrage at the assumption that I am incapable of deciding where to post a message.

My snowdrops aren't quite as advanced as yours but they should be out by the end of the week - that must mean it's almost tulip time!

Very nice. The daffodils in the verges here are just showing yellow, despite the freezing temps. I expect they will be in bloom when I get back, but they are always early.
Not a hint of snowdrop or anything else in my garden yet. The mahonia should be flowering soon though.

Long time until tulip time. .

Oh I did spot some green leaf shoots on a tree in the woods the other day too. I had the 17-70 on the camera so no chance of a photo of them - couldn't focus close enough and haven't had a chance to go back with the macro.

Not for me! I have six different varieties that I grow because they bloom at different times - first out of the ground are some lovely little orange dwarf tulips (whose name I forget) which appear towards the end of Feb. As they're going over I then have the others coming through so I have different tulips stretched over about three months, finishing with the gorgeous black Queen Of The Night. Then it's time to put the dahlias in the ground and I get excited all over again.

I'm easily pleased...

These are more advanced than any around here, Kris. Which is unusual. I actually photographed a group the other day but they've some way to go yet.
