Hi there,

I went out the other day to try some of my older glass that haven't been used since I went digital. This is taken with a Tamron 350mm mirror lens and I wonder how you find the result. I didn't have a tripod with me, but used a pole to support the lens. PP in Silkypix - a bit of sharpness + a slight boost of contrast.

How do you think it would compare to a modern lens - say a da 55-300mm on the long end? Personally, I think it turned out better than expected.

The cow on the left seems pretty sharp but the shallow depth of field means that the one on the right isn't which in the case of this image is, IMHO, a bit distracting.

Having said that, the lens looks pretty good as far as I can make out from this image. They sell for a fortune on ebay...

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.
