Hi all,

I am going to do some swatting up this evening but I have rented the 60-250 DA* lens for the weekend to make use of for the Olympics. I'm planning to go down tomorrow and catch some of the road bike race as well as on sunday I am watching the beach volleyball.

Does anybody have any shooting advice for me?
I will be using a k-r and tend to shoot in aperture priority mode. I'm guessing I will want to have continuous burst shooting enabled?

Thanks in advance,

Adam

There are many ways to go about sports photography.

Don't forget that in days of yore manual focus cameras were used very successfully to capture the perfect moment. Try to press the shutter release just before the peak moment of action. The small delay before the shutter fires needs to be taken into account.

The machine gun approach can also be successful, but may also result in missing every point of interest.

Just try, and have fun whilst doing so.
Best regards, John
