just had holiday of a lifetime, so far anyway, in the USA. most of the time spent in Rural or Real ,as i call it, America. first batch from our base which was Spokane . the next lot will be far more rural. tourism is catered for but not i think to the extent of the well known tourist traps except when we went to Yellowstone at the end of the first week. i will shout this NO RESTRICTION ON PHOTOGRAPHY ANYWHERE I WENT, no security telling me to put my camera away in, shops, malls, bars, even in the carousel it was allowed. more images to follow if i can get away with it, as i said more rural areas with some subjects that to me you could only find in America. thanks for looking

thanks for looking and comments. it had a lot more to offer but time and having others to consider was a limiting factor in how long i could have as a photography holiday

Excellent shots put into context by the comprehensive commentary, I've enjoyed them enormously.

Could we consider another section in this forum for 'photo essay' work such as this so they could be easily found and kept together?

Very nice indeed... super travelogue... particularly like the small everyday details alongside the more photogenic scenes...

thanks once again for comments. had a great time John and hoping to get over again in a couple of years which by then the Riverfront Park in Spokane will have been completely re done plus another trip to Yellowstone to see what we missed this time and have a bit more time to photograph it.
