Spoilt for choice

Looking for advice on which wide angle lens to buy. I have more or less discounted the Pentax 12-24mm on the simple grounds of cost so am left with a choice of Tamron 10-24mm or Sigma 10-20mm. I have also been looking at the 16-45mm but that seems close to what I have, 18-55mm (kit lens). I'm hoping some members of the forum have used all or any of these and give me their preference as this would seem the most unbiased review.

Despite the cost, the Pentax 12-24mm is the lens of choice. Perhaps you could find a Samsung version or a second hand one cheaper, if you search the Leads to Deals section and then the wider web.

The 12-24mm is as rectilinear (straight lines remain straight lines) as it egets, sharp and thoroughly excellent. The 16-45mm is also excellent, but a bit close to what you have already.

The Sigma is good- I have one, in the end though I will probably sell it and grab the Pentax (and will lose money in the process:cry. I wonder if Pentax may launch a new UWA lens in the future, a few extra mm makes a big difference at the wide end.
