Sparkling Stream

Some images from a walk near here in Wiltshire, today.

There's a small winterbourne that has gone down considerably since its peak during the recent floods.

These all shot over a small bridge, where the water babbles over waterweed & stones, with dappled sunlight playing on the surface.

Tried first to take the weeds & stones themselves but found that the sunlight was spoiling the view under the surface & the sunlight reflections were playing havoc with the metering.

Decided to focus, instead, on the ripples themselves, stopped right down to f22, which gave a much slower shutter speed.

And look what happened!

Intriguing images, very unusual depiction of flowing water; I like these.
