That's a quality lens Alistair, these are the best street shots I have seen you post so far. I'm hoping my 50-135 will focus a bit quicker as it has the latest SDM motor fitted, I'll report back when it arrives.
However, I think the focus speed is more to do with the focus throw (long) on this lens, which is good news for focus accuracy, even if it's a bit slow.
Regards
David

I keep going back to look at the picture of the girl with blue eyes and hat, its razor sharp where it needs to be and creamy smoothb where it needs that too. I've always seen zooms as pragmatic work horses but this is really something else

It is an absolute belter of a lens, and you seem to have done it proud Alistair especially with the second shot.
I'll be using mine all day tomorrow at the Kart meeting and I'm thoroughly looking forward to it.

I've just done the same, it looks fabulous on Flickr. The one to the left of it (mono of a young bloke) is also impressive.

No 2 has certainly got it all Great shots here, these are, technically for sure, the best street ones I think we've seen from you.

Its definately not the fastest lens in the world but when it hits the mark at F2.8 im very pleased.
A mixture of fairly wide apertures
