Hey Chris.
Pic no.1: Great shot. Nice and clear/sharp. The only thing that oculd have made it better is some clouds giving character to the sky. But that is beyond our control. Aside from the mandatory sharpening, I don't think anything needed to be done as far as PP. "The Sorcerer"... nice.
Pic no.2: The only thing here, and I suffered a lot from it too, is the camera appears to be tilted to the left by a degree or two. Tail draggers always make it tougher to get a level shot. Lovely image with s distinctly WWI feel to it, and by that I mean nothing modern (except maybe the pitot tubes) is visible. Maybe you could've timed it so that the propellor was vertical rather than horizontal? Just being facetious...
Pic no.3: Another great shot and my fave of the lot. The sky has some character, the ground is blurred thanks to some controlled panning. When a pilot's flying his plane and you can see the colour of his watch, I think that takes skill. No WWI feel here as the pilot's wearing a t-shirt and there's an antenna (GPS?) on the fuselage... For PP, maybe a bit more contrast in the sky?? and some "midtone contrast boost" to the ground?? But I'm no expert at that stuff.
Pic no.4: Wonderful photo. The only thing is that sky again. I had the same situation at Oshkosh where a flat blue sky means no excitement in the photo. Nonetheless, it's well composed and timed with good exposure settings. Would easily have been my favourite if the sky had some character to it.
Pic no.5: Very nice. Well composed and sharp. Flat blue sky again. I do like the disc at the back: slower shutter speed doubtless?
This is by no means an exhaustive critique by a professional, so I too await further comments by others to enhance the learning experience.
