Hello everyone, here's a few photos from my trip to the Lake District this weekend just gone. There's a mixture from a climb to the summit of Haystacks and a visit to the waterfall at Ambleside. As always, CC is welcomed. Most are with the K-5iis and a variety of lenses, one is with the K-5.

Thanks for the comments Barrie, I've just noticed a stray leaf on the 'Leaves on a Rock' image that I need to clone out!

Best wishes

Nice to see successful images taken in conditions that don't include a blue sky ! The Flow and a Little Tarn are my favourites. Are the Autumn colours a little late in the Lakes this year ? In the New Forest, I would say they will be 1-2 weeks or so later this year than previous years.

The last river one is very effective - nice lead in across the rocks towards the bank on the far side, which is well exposed allowing the eye to wander around through the trees.

I don't think you got any decent light for the mountain ones by the looks of it, which was a pity.

Top notch David - that old 28mm is a gem

Certainly a nice set, David.

As the others said, not the best conditions but you still managed to pull it off.

I'm particularly impressed with the colours of the hills in the 'long' shots. So often the distant hills fade into a misty grey/blue (well they do for me !), whereas you have captured colour and contrast.

Nice

Best regards

Water ones are nice but the mountain shots are spot on.

Proper lake district weather but still beautiful images! They have the authentic 'feel' of the fells.
