Yep, been there.
Luckily our two Cocker Spaniels are very good and don't chew anything other than "their" toys in the house.
The same cannot be said for the two "house rabbits" we had when we lived in London. We nearly had a fatal accident when Woolly (or perhaps Snowy) took on the power lead to the TV.

Was the cat rudely told off and had some time to think of their behaviour outside
Our dog chewed the corner off the arm rest on a brand new leather corner sofa. Luckily he's not done anything like that since!
