Some advice about PS please

Some time ago I posted an iage of an Owl, straight from the camera with no adjustments at all. On the underside of its body you could see the green cast from the reflection of the grass on the ground.

I have been trying to achieve this in photoshop but without success. What technique or combination of tasks within PS would allow me to achieve this? Anybody got any ideas?

I won't ask why you want to do such a thing!

How I'd go about it is create a duplicate layer and turn it off. Working on the original (bottom) layer, I'd then go to Adjust>Colour>Variations and click 'Add More Green' (with 'midtones' tickbox selected). Maybe add more yellow too.

I'd then turn the duplicate (top) layer back on, and with the eraser brush set to a large, soft brush, and opacity set at something like 20%, gradually erase through that layer on the bird's underside to reveal the adjusted layer below.

Thanks for that I'll give it a go. I'm afraid I'm not at the stage where I can say "I will get that result by doing x y and z" yet. Getting there though thanks to the help from this site.
