Too much information!

A fascinating collection so far. I have had a few laughs at them.

TechnoTerminator continue to live up to her name with her tales of electricity and telephone woes.

Dr Hooligan? Mm I'll stick to calling you Dr Mhuni if you don't mind.

My Swahili is limited to Kiribu, mole mole, asante, asante sana, habari, hapana, ndio and siwezi kusema Kiswahili. Oh and barabara. Which tells you my real name too . It was a source of huge amusement to the Tanzanians.

I subscirbe to the idea that the 13th sign of the zodiac was Arachne the Spider
The first incarnation of my login name (impotentspider) came about following a "little operation" As the joke was getting a bit thin I decided to change it, and of course I'm overweight
My Names Alan, and I'm a lensaholic.

I'm another lacking in imagination - I've been known as Hefty since I was a nipper and it's stuck with me all my life. I was a freakishly large child, reaching the height of 6'5" at the age of 12 and built like the proverbial brick outhouse - hence the name.

My name being Edward, one of my friends shortened it to Ted when the TV comedy "Father Ted" came out.
Then we had our first child and he said "You really are Father Ted, now!". So it sort of stuck and has been my username on various forums.
Getting there! Thanks to you guys

Well this has been an interesting read.

Snootchies is taken from a phrase yelled by the character Jay from some of Kevin Smith films (Clerks, Chasing Amy, Mallrats, Dogma) which I am a fan of. It's been my online avatar name for various sites since about 1997. Though to be accurate (as I shortened the phrase) the full term is "snootchie bootchies".

Mine came from the fact I was on duty in the Radio Room when an RAF Shakleton went down into the sea whilst in transit to Singapore. The MAYDAY was received by me, and having the surname Mayhew - a colleague gave me the name, and the nickname sort of lasted for much of my RAF career...
