The original hasn't got jaggies and on a different monitor the reduced one isn't as bad.... barely noticeable in fact. It's probably the colour profile on my other monitor that's made them look worse.
I've never noticed it on other photos, but most are posted 800 wide which saves them being reduced again.
I'm glad it had nothing to do with the K-5

Hello - I'm new to this forum and have joined as I've just bought the K-5. Only taken around 100 shots, but it looks really good - low light is fantastic.

Just seen this comparison widget on dpreview - compare RAW at high ISO and the K5 appears to be significantly better than the Canon D60 or the Nikon D7000 (by at least 1 stop)

i prefer the size of the k20, but found the performane of the k7 to be the same except low light af and af speed was better.
but the k5 is looking awsome or high iso, its just the af speed that bothers me know(needs to be faster than k7),

looks very close between the nikon and pentax and the 60d.

Going by that comparison @ ISO 12800 I dont think the K-5 outperforms the D7000. Looks very very close to me, infact I may even give it to the Nikon.

in raw the k5 has a lot less colour noise than the d7000, but more than the 7d, compare it to the 7d which looks better here than both, but also the nikon and canon are sharper.
in jpeg the at iso 12800 the k5,d7000.7d look close but i would say the 7d is first then the 7000d then the k5.
also it does not state if any noise reduction has been done it raw and jpeg.

They are saying on Dpreview (how I hate that forum) that the K-5 pic has ever so slight BF issues. I shot some pics of the wife with the K-5 and DA* 55mm f1,4 wide open and she made me delete them because the pictures were too sharp in raw the k5 has a lot less colour noise than the 7000d, but more than the 7d, compare it to the 7d which looks better here than both, but also the nikon and canon are sharper.

Still, at the end of the day I am happy with the camera and that's all that matters to me.
