So Expensive but why?

Pete, Pentax is one of the few that do supply a hood with their lenses except the DA L that is.
So it isn't really that bad considering the alternative.

I have one of the generic ones from "Terence's Camera" on ebay. Feels solid enough, no nasty mould lines, clicks onto my 18-55mm DA L (which didn't come with a hood) fairly precisely and only cost £9 or so including postage.

Hi DAngermouse I finally went with RobE17's lens from SRS and it is winging its wat towards me now.. I did look at Terence's site as I use it quite a lot I have had a few good deals from them .. I decided that a couple quid more for the lens was worth it as I do have an *ist DL with a 70-300mm lens as a spare and my old 18-55 without hood would be a nice addition to my second "spare" kit..
Thank you all the same mate
