SMC M 80-22mm - what's this worth?

This seems a little cheeky asking for advice on what gear is worth in only my second post. Especially as my first post was a few months ago, just to introduce myself.
Anyway, here goes:
I'm looking to sell an SMC M 80-200mm lens on behalf of a friend and don't have a clue what it's worth. A quick search of ebay doesn't help.
The lens appears to be in mint condition and comes with what I assume is the original hard case.
Any advice would be very much appreciated.

To be frank, it was only OK in its day, and now would be outclassed by recent zooms. It also lacks the A setting.

I doubt you would get much more than £50.00 for it, if that.

SRS have secondhand Pentax M 80-200 lenses for sale at £39 and £49 each.

Ffordes Photographic have one for £45.

These all come with 6 months warranty.

I suppose you'll be able to get £20 on ebay if its really good condition, maybe...
BTW, a search on ebay does help.
The only really good 80-200m Pentax ever made was the FA* right?

Why not put it on Classifieds here if it's in exceptional condition? You might not get a fortune for it, but it might at least find a home where it will be used.

I'll put it in the classifieds section, if there are no takers then I'll stick it on ebay.
