While I'm sure it's technically possible it seems an odd thing to want to do, I'm genuinely curious as to why you'd want to carry out such a conversion and what benefits it would bring?

Thanks for the comments chaps.
@hefty1
I'm in Tokyo now, and I sent my Uncle some pics that I had taken.
He's in England and is an avid film camera enthusiast.
He hasn't gone digital, and probaly won't...
Anyway, he expressed some interest in a couple of pics of mine and wondered if I could get a slide/negative so he develop them.
Hence my curiosity.

Here in the UK, Microquiz - http://www.microquiz.net/
are well reported on.
I seem to remember one forum member getting a slide printed from Photoshop this way for a competition, and the judge saying something like "Now there's quality that you could never get from digital"
If only they knew
You could probably upload the files and get them delivered to him directly.

Also a company called Cavendish, who take a lot of trouble getting tricky images right.

is the company. What was nice about them was that when one of my files didn't write too well to the slide they said they would try again. A few days later three alternative attempts turned up at no extra charge, and one was spot on.

I use Microquiz (or at least have done) in the past, and was very pleased with the results, using slide film. I've only got a film projector, and at the time no laptop, so it was a cheaper way to get photos for presentation than a digital projector and laptop.
And they fool many people, who think they were originated on film.

Thanks again, John and Dan.
I have a lot to choose from now, and I will take on board all the recommendations.

When I had some made, admittedly a ouple of years or more back now, MicroQuiz did a special bulk rate of £1 per slide and Cavendish £2 per slide.
We think the latter was worth the extra.

It might be a bit of an odd question, but is it possible to make a slide or negative from a digital pic?
Thanks in advance.
