Three of the sharpest gig photos we've seen on here (at least they are on my netbook screen). Well done. Number one has a lot going for it -- his arm gesture is nicely reinforced by the flag or whatever it is and the guy on the left adds some depth. You could probably lose the chap on right. The other two capture the moment too. You obviously have a talent for these things.

thanks, the flag you mentioned was the video screen on the left side,of tje stage. unfortunately i only had a 6 feet square area of stage to move in so getting uncluttered backgrounds proved dificult.
post was done using lightroom 3.3 with its great sharpening & noise reduction images are getting better & better. unfortunately due to editorial restrictions & speed of delivery to the agency its not possible to clone out much from the image.

They are fantastic, I'm really impressed.
Presumably you do this for a living?

Great shots Gary especially at 1250iso on a K20D/GX-20 sensor.
The first one is a classic.... I'm not sure about the 2nd with
it being off centre?

The first one is fab Gary, fantastic colour and love that pose. Possibly a little tight at the bottom and especially the top, but forgivable given the shooting conditions

This was one of the harder shoots I have done, literally had to wait for him to look at me, being on the corner of teh stage is not the best place to be. Seems he has photographers there as he does not like photographers in the pit.
He looked towards me just three times & I had a total shoot time of just two songs so approx 8 minutes!!!!
I often shoot at ISO 1600 on the GX20 so 1250 was a little luxury
As for noise, really easy, all done in lightroom 3.3 along with some sharpening, lens correction, highlights recovery & some other minor tweeks here & there
The first photo was actually the last of the set, as he raised his hand fired of 5 shots in rapid burst.
