Firstly Cosmo, apologies for going OT & good luck with your sale.My friend has paied 380£ (about 440 euro) the apo dg non hsm it is impossible to pay 450£ a lens that even if good had a price only 110 of the new with 2 years of warranty...
Secondly, mpg - I've held my tongue long enough, why criticise peoples pricings, declare your interest in virtually every lens that goes on sale here, then pull out as your "friend" doesn't want it or can get one cheaper.
You say it's impossible to pay £110 less for a used lens over new price ? Then may I remind you of your post of only a month ago HERE where you are asking only £50 less than the new price. Please practice what you preach !

You are absolutely right here RR Secondly, mpg - I've held my tongue long enough, why criticise peoples pricings, declare your interest in virtually every lens that goes on sale here, then pull out as your "friend" doesn't want it or can get one cheaper.
Personally I think it's time to set some rules in this particular section.
No undermining or criticizing of prices should be allowed.
How far off the potential seller may be in his asking price (positive or negative), let us at least respect the people who try to sell something here.
Advise or criticism can always be given the discrete way, through PM.
Martin.

We do have some rules, detailed under the Guidance at the top of the section.
One of those is that off topic posts in Classifieds may be deleted as we should not undermine the selling process.
This is a section to advertise and all comments should be questions about the sale.

Just to add to my last post, don't forget that all sales should also be for Pentax or Pentax related items only.
Obviously Sigma lenses are indeed Pentax related.

Apologies for staying OT but as a relative newcomer here I'd refrained from commenting on this before. I too had noticed that when I posted a classified ad that it was immediately met with a number of comments on how the item could be bought cheaper elsewhere which essentially put paid to me selling it to anyone on here whether or not they would otherwise have considered making an offer.RR wrote:

The item went on eBay for the price I listed on here so, barring fees to eBay it didn't make a huge difference to me but when it comes down to it an item's worth what someone will pay for it and if the price is way out there then it seems to me that the folks around here are a knowledgeable enough crowd to either just not buy overpriced items or to send a PM suggesting a price-drop or selling it elsewhere to folks who might not know better.
Anyway just my 2p worth, I'm not trying to start my time here by getting on the wrong side of anyone.

Sold my 18-55 on here last week for 15 quid just so no one could say they had seen it cheaper elsewhere
(not really, but got it at a reasonable price and it was cheaper than just buying the hood which was all I wanted, crazy)
One question John, I can fully understand your Pentax and related products stance, but how far does it stretch?
I took liberties recently with a tripod, but think the buyer was happy with the deal and would have been a shame not to let the community have first crack at a potential bargain

I have the Sigma EX case but no box for the 70-200mm as it's about 18 months old. The 10-20mm has both the Sigma EX case and box. Both were purchased from Merchant City Cameras in Glasgow (formerly Quiggs). They both have to go as I do quite a bit of hiking and I'm carrying around way too much glass! Going to be purchasing a Sigma 18-250mm instead.
