i have a sigma apo 1.4x ex dg tele converter, this was bought for me by my daughter from our favourite auction site, it fits to my k7 body but none of my lenses fit on it. on the cover it has "for sa/kpr". i have tamron 18-250,sigma 105 macro, pentax da55-300,pentax 16-45,asahi50mm,
pentax 10-17. can anybody shed some light please? do i need an adaptor of some sort or is it just totally the wrong thing?

The Sigma teleconverter will only fit their more expensive faster range of lenses (70-200mm f2.8 and suchlike) as it had a protruding front element. The lenses in question have a recessed rear element so the 2 fit snugly together. If you try it with any other lenses the front and back will hit each other and you could damage both trying to fit it.

thanks for your help, obviously very limited use on pentax. i have teleplus 2x which gives far more scope. so will probably sell this (sigma) and look for 1.5 teleplus. quite happy to do things manually as being new it helps me learn rather than relying on the camera. once again thanks

If you got the Sigma on Ebay for a decent price try listing it here if the for sale section first .. never know you may save yourself some seller fees.
