Sigma 400mm f5.6 prime lens pentax mount (PKA) Manual focus.

Works fine with any pentax or samsung DSLR's in aperture priority mode or manual mode.
SR system works with it as well.
Allows full metering
Allows autofocus confirmation with my camera (GX10/K10D)
Rotating collar and tripod mount on the lens.

Reason for sale: Just upgraded to the autofocus version for wildlife shots.

I would like to buy your lens. Is it in good condition ie: no scrathes or blemishes. if so 100 pounds sounds ok to me.

Rather poor form i would say to list this lens (at a cheaper price) when ChrisA was listing the same lens and yke78uk had made his intentions known that he was interested in Chris's lens You could have waited until the sale had gone through

I thought from the post the sale had gone through, ie sale pending usually implies waiting for clearance of funds on my other forums.
As such I had no intention of undercutting anyone.
In the circumstances I dont feel it is fair to sell to the above buyer as he has already made a commitment elsewhere.

To defend ianchandler there is a sale pending on the other sigma 400mm so i coudn't have bought it anyway.

I have not made any commitment the lens was sold to somebody else ! So i would still like to buy this lens.

yke78uk did show interest in my one, but as I indicated on my thread, he was a little too late, since I was by then already in the process of negotiating with a buyer.

So for him to indicate interest in this one is quite in order, I think.

Also, I have no problems with someone else advertising another example of the lens at a different price. There are many factors influencing the price you pitch something at, and we each have to come to our own conclusions. I pitched the price of my one at the upper end of the range of prices it's fetched on eBay in recent times, since it's in excellent condition, but beyond that it's hard to know what 'a fair price' is.

All we can do is pick a reasonable price as far as we're able, and be open to consider offers.

As such Chris A already has a buyer for his lens, all yke78uk has done is say look if it falls through Im interested.

So there is no commitment from him and no sale pending involving him, which leaves him clear to buy.
As for pricing, I priced before I came to the forum and it is advertised elsewhere for the same price, posted many hours prior to my post here.
There was no intention to undercut on my part at all.. just a fair price that I felt was right to ask for the lens.
I realise as they are getting rarer I could have pushed for more but Im not that kind of person.

I think all sales negotiations from this forum should be conducted by PM as matter of common courtesy. Just my opinion
